In 2005 Google bought a company called the Urchin Software Corporation, 6 months after the purchase, their product Urchin On Demand was renamed Google Analytics and re-launched, where it was offered for free. Google Analytics as a free service had a massive take up and has been a big success. Many organisations and companies have it installed but are not aware of the best practise for setup or what they should be measuring

No prior knowledge of Google Analytics is required however candidates should have at least navigated the Google Analytics dashboard and viewed the various reports on offer. Introductory reading materials will be sent out as part of your welcome pack.
